LISTENING IS THE MEDICINE FOR SUICIDE

Cardinal Sean Brady said has urged society to listen to its young people in an effort to tackle the tragedy of suicide. The Irish Cardinal said this in the homily of the New year mass.  news

Usually in the young age people will have lot of dreams and ideas to lead a good life. They try to live to their best, use their talents to flourish in life. We all tend to continue if the outcome of our trail is succeeded. I f it does not bear fruit our trails will become lesser and lesser as days proceed. The same happens with the youngsters in the world. Due to the economic crisis the youngsters do not have employment. It is very difficult to face life without an employment. When there is way for one to live how will they think of making a family? It is unimaginable reality. So they would like to escape from the distress of life by committing suicide. The statistics says that the number of suicides have increased due to the economic crisis.

When they are denied of their dreams, they are fed up and are closed up themselves. Anything that worries will bother us if continues to remain inside. In the time of their distress like unemployment they would like to be accepted in their family, relatives and I their peer groups too. This acceptance has to start from their family. The parents must be ready to listen to them. They will have new ideas to overcome the situation of the family or an institution. This listening will be a consolation for them and at the same time it will be eye-opener for the society. When they are listened they will gain confidence in themselves. Instead of infusing their ideas the parents must listen to them and guide them accordingly. S it is necessary for the parents to listen to the youngsters in making a new society.
